Reflect on your designer mind set
A very
helpful approach which I learned during the design thinking workshops was about
how to be reflective on my own designer mindset. Through one of the workshop’s tasks,
we were given a self-reflection activity in order to identify and scale our strengths
and weaknesses based on the aspects and skills required to have as a design
thinker.
Indeed, I
realized that how such kind of reflection activity and self-evaluation can lead
me to Look at my development, progress, and learning to consider what has
improved currently and what scopes still need more and more improvement. It
means after grading myself from 1 to 5, I will be able to see which points I
have that I can further develop and grow, and what elements or skills within I
need further attention. In fact, being able to self-evaluate can also help me
in future, as most companies now use procedures of self-evaluation in their
tasks or recruitment interviews.
Therefore,
being able to be familiar with the significance of self-evaluation and being capable
to perform such steps can be a very marketable and useful skill which I can use
to sell myself or my idea to a company when I intend to start my career as a
design thinker or entrepreneur.
The table below can help you to grade yourself and find our your weaknesses and strengths:
